Abstract

The intention of this article is to propose a discussion about the probable relations between Journalism and (de)coloniality. It starts from the understanding that i) the so-called 'conventional' journalism establishes bridges with coloniality; ii) identifies, in what he calls 'journalism from a peripheral perspective ', elements in opposition to conventional journalism; and iii) argues that some of these elements can be understood as possible decoloniality strategies in journalism. He argues that territorialities can be a key element in this discussion.
