Abstract

The meanings of invisibilization and stereotyping mobilized and constructed by indigenous women participating in the Acampamento Terra Livre 2020 are analyzed. We also seek to understand how they symbolically resist these persistent colonialities, in the light of decolonial communication. As a methodological horizon, it guaranteed the “epistemological disengagement” and the “inversion of the gaze”, which destabilize hegemonic notions of scientific doing. We conclude that resistance occurs from contestation and the need to play a leading role in their own narratives, to make visible, to externalize others knowledges, cosmovisions and grammars.
