Call for Papers Special Issue nr. 48

01/16/2025

PRESENTATION

Created 20 years ago, the Latin American Journal of Communication Sciences enters a new editorial cycle in 2025. Editor-in-chief since the creation of the Latin American Journal of Communication Sciences, Professor Margarida M. Krohling Kunsch (University of São Paulo, Brazil) will hand over her duties to Adriana Omena Santos (Federal University of Uberlândia, Brazil) and a new editorial board.

Aware of the great challenge of replacing those who structured and defined the quality of the journal, the new editorial committee included a new set of objectives to be achieved from the directions aimed at the continent and those that are to come in the national research systems of Latin American countries, which involves greater circulation of what is published.  which includes audiovisual elements for this and a greater number of indexers.

As an initial option to organize the transition, which will also involve important structural issues, such as the change from ABNT to APA standards, more used in Latin America, the first dossier of 2025 will be open only to the "Free Articles" section, as long as the objects come from countries in this American subcontinent and follow the editorial line of the ALAIC Journal.

For this, it is expected, for example, that the proposals presented during the XVII Congress of ALAIC 2024 can be sent but adjusted to the model of full papers.
