Abstract

The article discusses, based on Gatewatching theory by Bruns (2005; 2011), the information curation processes within local radio journalism. To do so, quantitative and qualitative methodologies are employed, including program analysis and in-depth interviews, to observe how curation of content submitted by listeners to the “Meio Dia em Notícias” program on Super Najuá FM is conducted. This involves scrutinizing the curation and editing processes in local radio journalism. The article describes the curation of listener contributions and their inclusion in the news-gathering process of journalists, identifying the established criteria
