Abstract

The main objective of this article is to analyze how flexibility interferes with the organization of time use in work from home of women communications professionals. The research is ethnographically inspired and the two techniques are semi-structured interviews and non-participant observation. The meetings were held between May 2023 and January 2024 in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The results show that the context of the workers expresses the time use conditions of each one and that the flexibility of the working day further intensifies the tension of paid work time with not paid time.
