Abstract

The fieldwork is based mainly on everything established by the academic literature; however, what its realization implies and how to face reality can be very different from what is expected, especially when it is carried out in violent environments or as a woman. Based on experience, this text seeks to think about the importance of gender during this process: conducting interviews, in data collection, and even in the way in which researchers behave in different contexts.
