Abstract

The aim of the study is to understand the processes of productive organization and the work carried out by Argentine screenwriters on TV shows destined for broadcast on audiovisual OTTs. This descriptive and exploratory analysis is based on in-depth interviews with key players in the sector, and includes notions such as the political economy of communication and culture, and the sociology of work. The conclusions once again take into account the tensión and stress surrounding creative work, due to demanding work schedules, having to attend to multiple projects simultaneously, and short-term hiring under the category of self-employed workers.
