Abstract

This article seeks to address the relationships between social communication and work to advance the construction of a specific field from which to problematize the articulations between work contexts, the resistance of subjects to the will to capture the capitalist device and the role of states in said joint.

For this, some of the contributions from the doctoral thesis "Under the cobblestones, the beach" (AUTOR, 2022) written by this author will be taken up, which addresses the analysis of the meanings of work on New York Street in Berisso (Argentina) from 1871 to 2019.
